The steel originally designed for razor blades is tempered to 59 Rockwell hardness so holds an edge well, while ensuring it isn’t a pain to sharpen. This steel also has a great reputation for being very corrosion resistant, a massive plus for a knife designed to be a user in the field. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe’ve designed the tang to be neutral in the hand and the scales are held on mechanically with brass flared tubes and chemically fixed with marine grade epoxy making for an unshakable connection. This is the first time we’ve used “Dymalux” laminated wood, and it makes a really interesting material to use.
